![]() A literature study using the keywords telepsychology, tele mental health, tele counseling, online counseling, e-counselling, and cyber counselling was conducted using the search engines Google Scholar, Google, and PubMed. The aim of this research paper is to determine the use of telepsychology as a type of mental health treatment. In conclusion, it is believed that this new medium will allow a greater involvement of older adults with technology, while fostering socialization, technological learning, well-being, and an active and healthy ageing. As a result of this disruptive thinking, a new transdisciplinary term emerges – online gameable communities. This research, in light of the paradigms of complexity and informationalism, epistemologically and antagonistically analyzes the relationship between the older adults, online communities, and digital games. However, little is known regarding the combined interaction of these two media within the ageing citizen context. Considerable research has studied the impact that digital platforms, such as online communities and digital games, may have on promoting an active and healthy ageing. Concurrently, an increasing ageing of the population has been witnessed, bringing additional challenges when developing digital platforms suitable for this audience. the rise of the network society new forms of entertainment, socializing, and learning and a digital divide that is still limiting the access and use for a large part of the population. Technological ubiquity has brought countless paradigmatic changes – e.g. The paper delves deeper into the logic of social media culture and reconfiguration of identity. The persona building on social media platforms by creating an account, forming networks and maintaining routine activities online indicates about the urge of (re)discovering and (re)forming identities. On the other hand, they aspire to be part of a new identity that help them move beyond the territorially defined space and locally defined time. Hence, they believe in fostering the cultural tradition in the time of modern globalized media. In one hand, the advent of digital media and globalized media circulation made them concern about the status of social value, cultural identity and national tradition. The respondents from various socio-geographic locations of South Asia expressed an aspiration that at once belongs to the traditional culture and envisages modern identity. Social media platforms created by K-lovers from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and the Maldives have been examined. It was also found that those people who were more exposed to global media, were less liked to observe tribal cultural values and had less belief in traditional gender role.īased on empirical research online, this chapter discusses a changing perception of identities in the wake of fan culture and transcultural flow in South Asia. Most of respondents were using global media on regular basis and they spent more than two hours daily in using global media. The results showed that global media (Satellite TV, internet, radio) were available in most of tribal area and young tribal people were heavy users. The data was analyzed quantitatively while using SPSS. Primary data was collected from a sample of 420 tribal people was selected conveniently through multistage sampling.
